When a con artist pretends to channel a dead princess, she enters the palace to fool a grieving king—and may become the woman who ends his seven-year ban on love.
SYNOPSIS
For seven years, King Lee Heon has forbidden every marriage in Joseon while mourning his dead crown princess. The kingdom is overflowing with frustrated lovers when street-smart matchmaker and con artist Ye So-rang is arrested for arranging illegal romances. To save herself, she claims she can channel the dead princess’s spirit—and unexpectedly becomes the grieving king’s personal medium. What begins as an outrageous lie draws So-rang into palace intrigue, romantic rivalry, buried secrets, and a dangerous attraction to the very king she is deceiving. Fast, funny, and emotionally sincere, the story turns a royal prohibition into a rebellious celebration of love against institutional control.
