Every day, a little cat runs from a fierce dog and wishes to become something bigger, stronger, or faster. Its wishes come true one after another: elephant, bear, gorilla, cheetah, pig, monkey, and more. Yet every supposedly better body brings an unexpected inconvenience or danger. Being enormous makes movement difficult, strength cannot solve every problem, speed becomes exhausting, and even comfortable lives carry risks. Through an energetic chain of transformations, humor, and repetition, the story captures the familiar wish to become someone else while gently encouraging children to recognize their own strengths and accept the imperfect but valuable selves they already are.
