AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY
Woo Hyun-ok is a Korean children’s author who completed doctoral coursework in children’s literature at Chung-Ang University and began receiving recognition after her story A Bicycle That Went to the Sea was selected by Munhwa Ilbo in 2007. She has also taught picture-book writing at universities and written numerous books for young readers. Kang Hye-young studied sculpture and approaches illustration as a way of placing the artist’s emotions onto paper. Her illustrated works include The Little Prince, The Happy President, José Mujica, and As a Swan. Together, their work presents Mujica’s political life through accessible storytelling and warm visual sensitivity.
