Kim Sang-gyun is a Korean picture-book author and illustrator who studied illustration at university and works as a freelance illustrator and picture-book creator. He grew up listening to folktales told by his grandmother and continues to be fascinated by stories that are humorous, frightening, and rooted in traditional imagination. He has written and illustrated Odubangjeong: How to Chase Away Silly Ghosts and other original works, and has illustrated books including Pudardak and My Friend Rabbit Teeth. His work aims to introduce the enduring appeal of old Korean stories to contemporary young readers through lively characters, humor, and visually memorable folklore.
