Kim Soo-young is a Korean children’s-literature scholar, lecturer, and writer. She earned a doctorate in children’s literature from Konkuk University with research on Kang So-cheon and later trained in clinical psychoanalysis. She has taught children’s literature at several Korean universities and gives humanities lectures in libraries, schools, bookstores, and cultural organizations. Her books include My Name is Quima and I Love You, Sister, I Love You, Little Sister. Han Dam-hee is a Korean illustrator and picture-book creator whose works include The Gorilla Hair Salon, An Elephant Got Stuck, and The Star Papa. Together, Kim’s literary and psychological interests and Han’s expressive visual storytelling create a thoughtful animal fantasy about prejudice, survival, and coexistence.
