Park Na-kyung studied literature in the graduate creative-writing program at Chung-Ang University and later studied Spanish at the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico. She taught Korean at the National University of San Agustín in Peru and has worked as an English and Spanish instructor. She is now a writer and translator based in St. Louis, Missouri, where she lives with her husband Mike and son Noah. Her published works include the essay collections A Miracle Called the Everyday and Not Exactly the Parenting Type, and the picture book Molly Rab of the Rainbow. She has also translated numerous titles into Korean. Kkaennip-topia is her first novel.
