SYNOPSIS
In a world where people no longer fear ghosts, a vain and stubborn house ghost refuses an order to return to the underworld. Determined to prove that ghosts can still terrify humans, he gathers a strange team of lesser spirits and targets a boy named Geon. Yet every frightening scheme goes wrong, and the ghosts gradually find themselves helping the very children they intended to scare. Blending Korean folklore, supernatural comedy, school anxieties, and found family, the novel reimagines traditional spirits as flawed but lovable figures who discover that human problems can be far more frightening than ghosts.

AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY
Jeong Seol-a is a Korean children’s writer whose fiction combines fantasy, adventure, history, and social themes. Her works include The Bad Guys, The Rules of the Game, Donghae, Mirror Falls and Tambyeol, The World of Iru, and the A Ghost Lives in My House series. Several of her books have received recognition from Korean library and publishing programs, including Sejong Book selections and National Library recommendations. Han Sang-hee is a Korean children’s illustrator who brings the series’ unruly ghosts and supernatural adventures to life with expressive, humorous imagery. Together, they create a distinctly Korean ghost world that balances folklore, comedy, suspense, and emotional warmth.
